9й клас Білет № 13 Sport in our life

                                              Sport in our life
People all over the world are fond of sports and games. Sport makes people  healthy, keeps them  fit, more organized and better disiplined. Some people go in for sport for their health and some with professional aims.Practically all kinds of sport are popular in our country, but football, gimnastics, figure skating and boxing enjoy the greatest popularity. A lot of people are fond of jogging. In the morning and in the evening we can see people jogging inthe parks, stadiums and even in the streets. My favorite kind of sport is...
Everyone should do all he can to stay healthy. All sort of exercises are very helpful to make our bodies strong. If we want to keep ourselves fit, we have to do sport and play games. One more important thing: sport teaches us to lose and to win, give a person confidens in his own  strength and abilities. Regular phisical  exercises give us more energy, make us feel and look better.
Sport is an object for competition. But only small group of people can always win. And sport is not a hobby for them, but a hard work.Unfortunatly  many sportsmen are not realy healthy people. In my opinion sport is thing for relaxing and rest. I think it is mainly for you and your health but not for the competitions.

9й кл. Білет №40 Holidays in Ukraine

We have many holidays in Ukraine but I would like to tell about my favorite ones. There are some dates which are holidays in my country. The first holiday of the year begins with the New Year Day on the first of January. On the eve of the New Year Day, that is at night of the thirty first of December, we are usually at home with our family or with our friends near a New Year tree. It is decorated with our bright and toys. At 12 o'clock we wish each other "Happy New Year!". We give presents to our friends and to all the family. I like this holiday very much, because my winter vacation begins with the New Year day and last two weeks. I have a lot of fun then. My friends and I dance and sing round a New Year tree with Father Frost and Snow Maiden. During the winter vacation we  do not study, we can play hockey, skate, ski and others.
The New Year is my favorite holiday. It is merry to decorate the New Year Tree, to dance near it and to receive presents.
Then in a week there is Christmas. In Ukraine it is an old and popular holiday. In the morning boys go from house to house, from flat to flat, sing traditional holiday songs and wish everything good to the people they visit. The people give them sweets, cakes and money.
My most favorite holidays are the New Year Day and Christmas.
